Mind The gap: a 2026 Annual appeal campaign

 This year, our annual appeal asks: What’s the Gap? It’s the space between having a creative idea and bringing it to life—the messy middle filled with all the practical steps, resources, and support it takes to make a project happen.

Making independent music takes more than creativity. It takes gas to get to recording sessions, transportation to get where the music happens, and resources to pay the musicians who help bring each song to life. We're raising funds to take some of those logistical barriers off our artists' plates, so they can spend less energy figuring out how to make it all happen and more energy making music worth listening to.

This year, we're teaming up with two of our roster artists, Dom the Composer and Prophet PM, who are working to make a big creative vision a reality: traveling to Los Angeles to participate in the NAMM Showcase, part of one of the world's largest music industry and technology events.

Make a direct contribution to Dom and Prophet to help cover the practical costs of bringing their music to life. From everyday essentials to opportunities that move their careers forward, your donation helps make the work possible.

ArtSpark Boston's General Annual Appeal

Support our broader efforts to provide artists of color across New England with professional development, paid creative opportunities, and the resources and support they need to sustain their artistic practices. As an added commitment to this year's campaign, 10% of all donations to our general annual appeal will also go directly to Dom and Prophet.

What can your donation make possible?

Every contribution helps close the gap between making music and making it happen.

• $10 — The First Step: Help cover a small everyday essential on the road to making music.

• $50 — Fuel the Vision: Help cover gas for the week so Dom and Prophet can get where they need to go.

• $100 — Get There: Help cover a portion of the transportation costs for their trip to Los Angeles.

• $150 — Open the Door: Help cover a NAMM ticket and connect artists with new opportunities and music industry professionals. 

• $250 — A Place to Land: Help cover housing costs so artists have a place to stay while pursuing their creative goals. 

• $500 — Make the Move: Help cover the cost of a car rental, making it possible to get to recording sessions, performances, and other essential opportunities.
